Shown are the wave functions for a single particle in a two-dimensional infinite square well.  One side (x) is of length a = 1 and the other side (y) is of length b = 2.  You may change the value of the slider to change the quantum number associated with each dimension. In addition, you may view the wave functions as a three-dimensional plot or as a contour plot and view the probability densities as either a three-dimensional plot or as a contour plot.
